Step 5 - The R1 motor arrives

 

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008:

 

Not much to say. The 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 5PW motor arrived today. It is supposedly good for 164 horses. The cherry picker came in very handy yet again. I'll have to do a compression check and look it over but so far nothing obviously wrong with the engine or transmission.
