Mini Rebuild
Step 15 - More Parts
Thursday, September 25, 2008:
I was going to wait until all the parts I ordered showed up before posting but why wait? Here are some new things that have arrived in the last month or so:

KAD's adjustable tie-rod for the front suspension. |
![]() |
KAD's adjustable rear suspension bracket. |
![]() |
KAD 4-piston front calipers. |
![]() |
KAD's alloy rear swing arm. |
![]() |
KAD's rear disk brake conversion kit. |

I received a used 9-gallon fuel tank and needed to test-fit itso I did a quick trimming of the cover plate the previous owner welded in. |

The 9-gallon takes up quite a bit more space than the 7-gallon tank that came with the car. |

I also received these ProTech coilovers. Two snags though: they won't fit in the original rear reinforcement plates... |

...and they won't fit on the 1/2" rear spindles I spec'd from KAD. Time to order the 3/8" spindles I guess. |

The Speed seats arrived. It is a tight fit but I think they'll work just fine.Despite what it looks like, the seats are exactly the same. I just have the driver's side mounted higher to test-fit things. |

Anyone want to trim this panel out of their junk shell and sell it to me? More butchering by the previous owner. |

If I install a rollcage, will there be sufficient room between the roof bars and the driver & passenger's heads? Looks like it! |

Here's yet another area requiring some research, new parts, and some elbow grease - the steering rack. |

Here are the Schroth Profi-II harnesses I'll be installing in the car next week. |
